Bio-Identical Ovarian Hormone Replacement with pellets.
There currently is nothing closer to a “Fountain of Youth” for women, than ovarian hormone replacement. Ovarian hormones are known to have an effect on the brain, bone, skin, cardiovascular, gastro-intestinal and reproductive systems and affect obesity and changes in fat location. With the loss of ovarian estrogen and testosterone, all of these body tissues are affected in a negative way. For some women this negative effect is quick and dramatic around the time of menopause. For other women the effect is slower and much less dramatic. The fact is, all women will ultimately look more youthful, feel better and have medical benefits from estrogen and testosterone replacement (if they are a candidate for it) than if they don’t replace these hormones. I have been doing hormone pellet insertions since August 2001 and there has been 232 insertions done by me or the Nurse Practitioners in this practice as of September, 2009. No one has discontinued hormone pellet therapy because of a medical complication and this therapy is growing in our practice.
